About

Hi! My name is Carmen (1998) and I’m an artist from the Dutch countryside. After a few years of trying out different things and going through a variety of experiences, I came to a clear conclusion: I’m created as a maker, an artist.

My mind is always filled with new ideas and experiments, almost too many to keep up with! I absolutely love the creative process, and when there is a period in which I can’t bring the ideas to life, I quickly start to feel frustrated.

Dedreamki grew out of the wish to share the things I make with others to brighten their homes and their days, rather than keeping everything to myself. My room/studio is already an explosion of colours and patterns.

I rarely design my products digitally. After graduation from graphic design at Artez University of the Arts in Arnhem, I felt a strong desire to work with my hands and slow down.

My inspiration comes from nature and the One who created it, light, architecture, tiles and patterns. There is so much beauty to see when you go outside, so I try to plan outings regularly.
