This dessert shows a vanilla ice cream base with sweet Japanese adzuki beans, a layer of strong matcha syrup, matcha latte with an espresso on top, and decorated with mochi, matcha ice cream, matcha jelly cubes, a biscuit and adzuki paste. In the border you can see the jacket in which adzuki beans grow, coffee berries, leaves and blossoms.

People sometimes assume these paintings are made digitally because of their symmetry, but they are not! Each design is created by hand using pencil, ruler and compass. For many paintings I also make my own stencils to help achieve symmetry, but as everything is handmade, small imperfections remain visible on closer inspection. The charm of handmade art!
