About this technique These cakes began as simple pencil drawings in soft, monochrome colour schemes. The limited palette sparked the idea to explorer toner foiling with these designs. Each colour has to be printed and foiled seperately, a delicate and time consuming process where even the smallest mistake or misalignment can ruin the entire print.
What felt like just a few colours when using pencils turned out to be a lot of layers for foiling. Each print in this series is made up of five individual layers, very ambitious and likely the most you'll ever find on this website. They take a lot of time and care to produce, but oh my goodness, the result is absolutely worth it!
