Technique & story
Close to our home in the Dutch countryside, there are a few pumpkin patches every year. During fall the side of the street is loaded with pumpkins in many different sizes and colours. This is a delight to see, but I love watching the patches grow and change throughout the year so I really wanted to make a design inspired by them.
The design was drawn out with pencil, rulers and handmade stencils on paper. After this I scanned the design and traced it digitally, covered it with foil, and voila! This was my first foiled design ever, so it took a long time to figure out the technique and right materials. It was a design that unlocked many others :)
