Wood sorrel (Witte Klaverzuring) is a delicate and beautiful plant that carpets the forest floor. It's white flowers and deep green leaves fold and open according to the weather conditions. When open, the leaves and flowers welcome the sun; when closed, they quietly wait for its return.
This greeting card features a high-quality print of my original painting. A composition of soft greens and yellows, the perfect match for a spring greeting.

Story & technique
This card is part of a series inspired by early spring flowers that blanket fields and forest floors. Though small and delicate, they create a striking visual impact. As I was looking forward to spring for quite a long time, I felt so happy to see these flowers that I just had to paint them.
To create the series, I used a template I measured myself, so each composition would be almost identical. I then mixed a fresh colour palette of acrylic gouache and painted all 4 four pieces simultaneously, building them up colour by colour.
